7th pay commission : DA increase soon for central government employees

In New Delhi: All central government employees and retirees will likely soon receive a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA), according to the Modi administration.

Sources claim that the government has been debating whether to announce the DA hike before the start of Navaratri or towards the end of this month.

According to media reports, the DA increase is estimated to be around 3% starting on July 1, 2023. The DA is anticipated to grow to 45% after the hike.

What percentage of the salary will be raised?

The pay of central government employees will rise if the Modi administration adopts a 3% DA raise. Let's use an employee with a monthly pay of INR 50,000 and a basic wage of INR 15,000 to compute this. Employees currently receive DA of INR 6,300, or 42% of their basic pay.

As a result, if an employee's basic income is INR 15,000 and their monthly salary is INR 50,000, their DA will increase by INR 450 per month following the DA boost.
