scholarship for Karnataka 8th standard Students in Government-Aided and Local Body School
In the Karnataka schools of government-aided and Local Body School, scholarship will be provided to students in the 8th standard who are pursuing higher studies economically and encouraging them to continue their education beyond the secondary level. The primary objective of this scheme is to prevent dropout rates and motivate students to further their education. The examination will be conducted in Kannada, English, Urdu, Marathi, and Telugu mediums and will be held at the taluk level by the Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council (KSQAAC).
Eligibility
Only students studying in the 8th standard in the academic year 2023-24 in government, aided and Local Body School are eligible to apply for the NMMS exam.

In 7th standard Student of General and other categories must have secured a minimum of 55% marks. SC and ST students must have secured a minimum of 50% marks.
Annual Parental Income Should Not Exceed Rs. 3,50,000
Exam Details
Paper-1: The mental ability test(MAT) consists of 90 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark. The time allocated for this test is 90 minutes.
Paper-2: The scholastic aptitude test(SAT) comprises a total of 90 questions, with 35 questions related to science, 35 questions related to social science, and 20 questions related to mathematics.

For general and other category students: Rs. 20
For SC and ST students: Rs. 10
Application Dates:
Applications can be submitted from September 13, 2023, to October 4, 2023.
Distribution of scholarship
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 1,000 for four years, starting from the 9th grade to the 12th grade. The stipend will be disbursed directly to the students' bank accounts by the DoSEL.
Students must apply online for the scholarship every year from the 9th grade to the 12th grade.
