The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially unveiled the timetable for the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) and II PUC (Pre-University Course) Annual Examination-1 for the academic year 2023-24. This crucial schedule, revealed on the Board's website on December 1, 2023, serves as a vital roadmap for students, parents, and educators statewide.
Scheduled from March 2 to March 22, 2024, the Secondary PUC Exam-1 spans 21 days, kicking off with the Kannada/Arabic paper and concluding with the Economics paper on March 22, 2024. The examination will adhere to a single shift, running from 10:15 am to 1:30 pm. Meanwhile, the SSLC examination, beginning on March 25, 2024, and concluding on April 6, 2024, extends over a total of 13 days.
To ensure widespread dissemination of this information, the Board urges high school head teachers and pre-graduate college principals to prominently display the timetable in their respective school/college 'publication panels.' This move aims to facilitate a seamless transition into the examination period, enhancing overall preparedness.
The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board have provided a 15-day window, from December 1, 2023, to December 15, 2023, for students, parents, and the public to submit objections to the tentative schedule of the Annual Examination-1. Hard copies of objections must reach the Chairman at Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board, 6th Road, Malleshwar, Bangalore-560003, within the stipulated timeframe for consideration.
It's crucial to note that objections received after the prescribed deadline of December 15, 2023, will not be entertained. The President of K.S.P & M.N. Mandali emphasizes the significance of adhering to the specified timeline to streamline the examination process and promptly address any concerns.
On April 8, 2024 (Monday), Practical and oral examinations for J.T.S. subjects (56, 57, 58, 59 & 75, 76, 77) are scheduled in respective schools. The Hindustani Music & Karnataka Music theory exam is set from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM, followed by the practical test from 3:45 PM to 5:15 PM. Differently-abled students (deaf & dumb, learning disability, blind, and mentally challenged) will receive an additional hour for 3-hour question papers and 40 minutes for 2-hour question papers.
CCE Regular & CCE Repeaters will have varying time allocations for 1st language, optional subject, and 2nd & 3rd language exams. NSQF subject examinations will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM, with NSQF students having 2 hours for the exam and 15 minutes for reading the question paper.
