Following the interim directive from the Division Bench of the High Court of Karnataka, measures are underway to conduct the board examinations (Summative Assessment-2) for classes 5, 8, and 9, in accordance with the schedule outlined by the Department of School Education and Literacy (DSEL), beginning from Monday.
In connection with this, the department has issued a circular. B.B. Cauvery, Commissioner of DSEL, stated, "All necessary arrangements for the examinations have been completed successfully, and approximately 28 lakh students are expected to participate this year." Examinations for class 11 have already been concluded.
Nevertheless, Lokesh Talikatte, president of the Registered Unaided Private Schools Management Association Karnataka and one of the petitioners opposing the government's decision, intends to contest the Division Bench's ruling in the Supreme Court.
