On October 10, 1999, the government established the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutional Society. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is responsible for conducting the Morarji Desai Entrance Exam each year. the aim of expanding the reach of the same institution to include all school classes and supporting the educational growth of different classes of rural children in the state. Indira Gandhi, Morarji Desai, and Hutatma Residential Schools (MDRS, IGRS, DBRARS, HRS)         From sixth to tenth grade, many residential schools also offer coeducational instruction.  There are 250 authorized pupils in each school, with 50 students in each class.  There are 50% of seats reserved for females.

Morarji Desai School Exam Schedule and Syllabus for 2024–2025

 1. Every year, the Morarji Desai entrance exam is held throughout Karnataka to give free English-medium instruction to students in grades 6 through 10.
 2. Students may apply if they are enrolled in Karnataka State schools in the fifth grade for the academic year 2023–2024, as well as government–aided and government–recognized private institutions.
 3. The third, fourth, and fifth grade Karnataka state syllabus is available to students in both Kannada and English.
  4. There are question papers available in both Kannada and English, so students can select the one that best suits their needs.
 5. The format of the question paper is 100 marks, with multiple choice questions lasting roughly two hours.OMR sheet Answer sheets For every question, students are allowed to shade one accurate response.
